Seeking Details w/God Growth Chart
Do you know what it feels like to be in limbo?
Do you know what it feels like to be in a holding pattern?
It can be one of the most frustrating and TESTING things in the world.
Grrr...
It's so much easier to do 10 different things than ZERO things, right?
God knows this.
He knows this is the plight of entrepreneurs or go-getters.
He knows we are people of action and can't sit still, lol.
Yes, you! ^_^
But this too is a beautiful and challenging part of our walk with God.
Let me remind you of some TRUTHS regarding the season of WAITING...
- God is processing you.
- God is refining you.
- God is preparing you for something better.
- God needs you to step out of the old shell and into a new future.
- God is trying to teach you something.
- God is trying to strengthen a muscle in you. What is it? Ask Him.
- God wants to take you to the next level. Are you ready and willing?
"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness."
God's timing is PERFECT. Trust it.
AND let's be real....
Waiting is still not the most fun thing ever.
No one ever asks to be put in a waiting season, lol. ^_^
Sometimes it can feel like watching paint dry... BUT having a poor attitude about it makes it worse!
Trust me, I've had some REALLY poor attitude about it. I'm getting better, with much room for improvement. ^_-
However, the key is to "take every thought captive" and not let the negative thoughts override the TRUTH.
We must practice catching every negative thought, stop it in it's tracks and REPLACE it with God's TRUTH by saying things like...
"No, that is not true. I'm not losing opportunity. God is preparing me for an amazing one."
"No, I'm not wasting time. I'm resting and healing. God is working behind the scenes in ways I can't even imagine."
We must guard our heart and mind during this season.
Another example...
If God is canceling a bunch of appointments and clearing your calendar, take it as an INVITATION to spend more time with Him.
Instead of thinking "Crap, all my appointments are being canceled!", get curious and ask "Hmm... God what are you up to? Do you want to hang out? Is that what you're doing? Making hangout time for us?"
So then go to the beach, the park, a restaurant... a date with you and God.
And while you're in a waiting season,
While you're unclear,
While you're "wandering"...
Keep Seeking God.
Keep asking for details.
Keep asking the same questions day after day.
If Daniel, the spiritual giant, had to wait 21 days for an answer, I'm sure a fart face like me will easily have to wait MUCH long in some of my questions.
So don't be discouraged.
Don't take it as a mark against you.
Accept it as an obvious thing.
Similar to...
"Of course you can't drive, if you're only 4 years old."
"Of course you don't get an unlimited credit card account at the age of 10."
"Of course you don't get to party all night at the age of 12."
"Of course God won't let me go next level until he prepares and tests me."
Duuuhhhh~~~! ^_^
Here's the good news...
The longer we spend time seeking the details with God,
The more our faith grows.
Our faith gets strong with each prayer, each listening and each repetition.
Some answers to a question may have a longer incubation time than others and that's ok.

You can see the blue line is your time and faith in the topic you're praying about.
The longer we seek God for details,
The greater our faith grows.
God also wraps the the whole journey in His love and encouragement.
So if you're in a waiting period,
You feel like you should get more done but the doors are not opening,
You feel an itch but you can tell God is having you hold your horses...
Give your horse a bath and change out it's shoes.
Be in the mindset of preparation, excellence and obedience.
It's easier said than done, but it MUST be done.
Without waiting seasons you won't truly level up.
It's like a right of passage in life.
Enjoy it.
Cherish it.
Get the most out of it.
That's the best way to make this waiting the shortest.
Or else, you may earn yourself a longer time-out than you wanted cuz you're being a brat.
Just saying...
