5 Types of Prayers
Did you know there are different types of prayers?
I will distinguish between 5 types of prayers today.
1) HELP ME Prayer (Seeking)
- This is the most common type of prayer.
- God wants us to seek Him for all our needs.
- Prayer EXAMPLE:
- "God please help me this, I need that..."
- This prayer is great, but make sure you don't just give God a shopping list of needs. Include the next type of prayer.
2) THANK YOU Prayer (Gratitude)
- Gratitude repels and cancels out fear.
- In today's world, there is a lot of fear. It shows up as anxiety, stress, ulcers, headaches, frustration, sickness and many other forms.
- Giving God praise and glory for all the goodness in your life puts you in a better mood. You become more lively and excited about life. You can thank God for the everyday gifts like freedom, a home, career, family or friends.
- Prayer EXAMPLE:
- "God, thank you for another day to serve you. Thank you for my challenges that you use to strengthen and teach me. Thank you for blessing me with business, family and friends. Use me boldly to move your kingdom forward and love others. Amen."
3) HELPING OTHERS Prayer (Intercession)

When you get outside yourself and pray for others, that's a beautiful sign of growth.

When you pray for others you start to forget about yourself. You go from self-centered to serving others. This is the heart that God really wants to develop in all of us.

There are many things to pray for: Family, friends, church, government, education, business, media, communication, entertainment, other countries.

BTW, Did you know we're SUPPOSED to cover our government and leaders in prayer? I didn't know this for a long time!
- "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."

Regardless of political parties, when our leaders and politicians align with God's will, that's all we need. Remember God can us a donkey so politicians can be used also (I think :P). Just pray to bless the HELL out of them using the name of Jesus.
- Prayer EXAMPLE:
- "God, we pray for this country and our leaders. Expose the corruption and bless the hell out of those that come against your will and raise up leaders seek Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We lift up our families, churches, businesses and schools and ask that you lead us, guide us and guard us. Amen"
4) Victory Prayer (Declarations)
- "Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."
Even if we don't see the results yet, we can assume victory in Jesus name and make our prayers match. - Pray as if the battle is won.
- Pray as if victory has been delivered in your lap.
- Prayer EXAMPLE:
- "I declare victory in Jesus name over my business as Your ministry. To prosper and mold it to move the kingdom forward."
- Prayer EXAMPLE #2:
- "I declare victory in Jesus name over my relationship with my husband/wife. Fill it with the Holy Spirit and make it richer and deeper than ever. Teach us how to love like you love us. Your will be done. Amen."
5) Spiritual Warfare Prayer (Warrior Spirit)
- Evil exists in the world, but you have the power to give the devil a black eye and a butt whooping with prayer.
- Key weapons are the name of Jesus and scripture.
- Remember: "Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
- Prayer EXAMPLE:
- "I bind the spirit of fear, doubt, despair or depression coming against me. I ask God to send warring agents to destroy them now in Jesus name."
- Prayer EXAMPLE #2:
- "In the name of Jesus, I bind up every spirit of fear, anxiety, worry, stress, tension, disappointment and discouragement. I bind all these devils that are working against me, in the name of Jesus."
- Prayer EXAMPLE #3:
- "I bind up every attack that is operating in my immune system, every affliction, every disease, every accident spirit and every demonic spirit that is trying to abort my purpose and destiny. I bind them up in the name of Jesus and destroy them now."
Jesus does NOT fail.
