Are you a Big Thinker...?
Are you a BIG thinker?
Did you know that God also wants you to be a BIG thinker?
God wants us to think big like He does...
With ETERNITY in mind.
While God's ways have ETERNITY in mind (millions upon millions),
But we think too SMALL with our measly earthly 80-100 years in mind.
"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil."
One of the most CRITICAL choices we make each day is to spend time with God or not and read His word.
If we don't get that right,
We will keep thinking SMALL,
And miss the BIG ETERNAL picture again and again.
When we choose to spend time with God daily,
We are choosing to think BIG.
When we take QUIET time with God each day,
We are saying there's nothing MORE important than Him.
However, when we make excuses that there's not enough time,
We are saying our business is more important than God.
When we look at our phone first in the morning instead of God,
We are saying this earthly life is our priority,
Therefore we are thinking very, very SMALL.
BUT...
You are meant to think BIG!!!
God made you that way,
To think like Him.
But Satan is doing all he can to trick you,
To distract you with busy-ness,
To lure you with wealth and comfort,
To keep you from fulfilling God's BIG plan for you.
Satan has fogged our mind,
Confused our priorities,
But the ONE thing that can cut through the Satan's B.S. like a hot knife through butter is God's word.
"For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
That's why Satan has done everything to keep us from reading the Bible.
He knows that if we read God's word it will illuminate our minds,
It will get us to see things from the ETERNAL perspective,
It will get us thinking BIIIIGG!!!
"For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done."
Reading the Bible opens our minds,
It allows Holy Spirit to transform our thinking,
It enables us to go from SMALL worldly thinking,
To BIG ETERNAL thinking.
God repeats this reward system many times in scripture...
"Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done."
"from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."
You cannot grow spiritual without spending DAILY time with God,
You cannot lead your family or children properly without your quiet and uninterrupted time with God.
This mean phones OFF,
No buzzing,
No distractions,
No alerts or notification,
Just YOU and GOD.
Take this ONE step today...
1) Put in your calendar your time with God.
Treat it like an important appointment.
Meet God in your secret QUIET place,
So you can think BIG,
Think like God,
Think ETERNAL.
"Dear Heavenly Father,
Help me think BIG like You,
Help me put You FIRST,
In my morning,
In my evening,
In my LIFE.
Help me be more concerned about You than social media,
Help me NOT get distracted in making money FOR You that I don't spend time WITH You.
Baptize me in your Holy Spirit each morning,
To open my eyes to Your teachings,
Help me enjoy Your word more than ever before,
Make it hit me like a ton of bricks each morning,
May it cut through my soulish desires,
And help me discern Your desires.
Help me think BIG like You.
