Business Planning with God

One day in college, I was in a course where the class took a walk on the beach.
I was talking to this Nigerian guy and our chat quickly turned into a jog...
and I eventually challenged him to a race.
He looked amused, "Are you sure?" he asked.
"Yes!"
I secretly enjoyed busting up stereotypes people had about me as a meek little Asian girl.
Most don't expect much, but I had a little spunk.

I was thinking "Eat my dust!" and next thing I know...
I'm running as HARD as I can,
And the dude is running backwards laughing at me!
It's like he wasn't even trying.
My top gear was his backwards low gear.
I can still remember his super white teethy grin taunting me!

What I didn't know...

It turns out he was here on track scholarship from Nigeria.
Go figure.
I never had a chance.
I never knew how SLOW I was until he just wrecked me.
It was a humbling moment.

I realized...
What I thought was "speed" was nothing compare to real talent.

It's like that for us in business.
We think we have "big" goals and dreams...

Yeah, big fish small pond.
You may be "great" compared to those around you.
Maybe even compared to those across the country.
But NOT compared to God.



If you TRULY want to think big,
Play big,
Go big,
Live big...
Think with an ETERNALLY mindset.
With God.

Close your eyes...
Imagine God saying to you right now,
"Seek ME for vision".

As you think forward to 2022,
How to grow your business,
How to live a better life,
God is saying "Seek ME for vision".

Even when you think you have it figured out,
If only you knew how small you're really thinking,
God is pleading "Seek ME for vision".

God has such BIG things planned for you.
Stop getting in your the way.
Let God take the wheel.
Be ready to be mind-blown.

You have a choice...

You can plan and create vision WITH God... or on your own.

Here's what us human think is smart...
- Set time out to plan for next year
- Establish goals, dreams, vacations
- Break it down into annual, quarterly, monthly and daily goals.

What's missing?
God.

We need HUMILITY to realize how insignificant our brain power is compared to God.
Dude, we can't even bend a spoon by looking at it.
God created the UNIVERSE just by speaking!
He spoke into existence the laws of physics, biology, chemistry, math, art, nature, sky, colors, EVERYTHING... in one breath!
Did I mention, you can't even bend a spoon?

The sooner you realize how SMALL your "big" goals are.
It can't touch God's plan for your.

God says...
"My ways higher than your ways and
  My thoughts than your thoughts."

Seek God for inspiration, vision and alignment with His plan.

5 Steps to do Business Planning with God

1. For the next 1 week, every morning get in a quiet place and ask God "I seek You for vision. Speak, your servant is listening."
   
   
2. Writing down anything you think, sense or feel.
   Rinse and repeat for 1 week.
   See what you have.
   
   
3. Then set aside 1 day or half day for serious 2022 planning.
   
   
4. Make a list of all the question you have for God about business, life, health, finances, spirituality, contribution. Ask it all that day. Write down everything.
   
   
5. Pray over it by asking God for clarity and discernment. Review, edit and revise. Repeat this step as needed.
   
   

Don't you dare think about leaving God out of your 2022 planning!
INTENTIONALLY, STRATEGICALLY plan next year with Him.
Seek God's wisdom,
His guidance,
His will in your life.
That's really all that matters.

"Dear God,
Open my spiritual eyes to see,
Ears to hear,
Your will and plans for my life.
Teach me how to seek you.
Visit me in my dream.
Speak Lord, Your servant is listening.
Amen."
