Can I Pray for You?

I have a friend who was a bush pilot in Alaska.

SHE (yes she) would fly with men who were military "big bad boys" including Navy Seals.

"It's amazing" she said, "when the plane starts to go down and they think they're about to die, even the biggest athiest cry out "OH GOD HELP ME!".
There's something in all of us that calls out to a higher power.
God put something in us, like a homing beacon, to help us find Him no matter what.

Just like these big, tough Navy Seals...
When we are in a tight spot or hurting in our hearts, there's one thing every human needs.

Prayer.

I've never seen a hurting person NOT be open to prayer.
When you're hurting or desparate enough, you grasp at anything.
When you see someone in those moments, be bold and brave enough to throw out a lifeline of prayer.
Offer to pray.

"Is it ok if I pray for you?"

You'll be surprise how many people accept the invite.

As Christians, we have a fear of rejection we don't recognize.
We don't want to be viewed as "weird" or a "bible thumper".
It's an inordinate fear.
It's out of proportion.
It's the lies of devil ("the adversary") that says "Don't worry about it", "It's not appropriate".

What's not appropriate is having a lifeline and not using it save someone.

It's simple.
Just offer a prayer in a loving, gentle way.
It's SOOOO simple and easy.

Did you know because of fear...
We hide Jesus.
We only mention Him or offer to pray when absolutely necessary.

What does Jesus want?
What does Satan want?
Who's winning?

I encourage you to re-calibrate your heart with God.
Come out of hiding and find the balance that GOD wants for you, NOT what the world tells you.
Seek God each day and ask, "How can I share you today?"
"Give me the courage to shine your light and truth.
Show me opportunities right in front of me."

You'll be amazed at how the Holy Spirit can move in your everyday.
God is good. All the time.

"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few."

There are so many people that need a prayer.
If only someone would be willing to offer.

People are much more willing to accept an offer for prayer than ask for one.
They don't have the courage either.
Are you willing to have the courage enough for both?

Also, the next time someone asks for a prayer, do it right there.
Don't wait till later.
Seize the moment.

Simply ask, "Do you mind if we jump into a quick prayer?".
You'll most likely hear "Sure".
Off you go!

We don't have a problem asking for referrals or a business appointment...
Why not offer a prayer?

So simple.
So powerful.
So God.

God's will be done.
Are you willing to be used by God today?

"Heavenly Father,
I lift up the beautiful human who is reading this now.
Let their be a fresh new annointing in their life now in Jesus name.
I declare a fresh new boldness that rises up within their soul and hungers to share your truth in Jesus name.
May the act of faith of sharing you fill their cup and make it overflow.
Cover them in supernatural peace that only comes from you.
No matter what the storm in their life, let there be peace in Jesus name.
Change their heart from the inside out.

Purify it, cleanse it everyday.
Make it pleasing and holy to you.
Teach the how to DELIGHT You.
Teach us how to DELIGHT IN You,
So that you may DELIGHT in us.
We surrender our hopes, dreams and goals to you.
Make it 100x better than our own.
Make it infinitely Yours, now and forever.
In Jesus name, Amen."
