Facetime with God...

There is a lost art with God,
An act that is rarely talked about,
Even more rarely seen,
Even more rarely done.

In the Bible, there are many men of God,
Who have fallen on their face before the Lord,
A beautiful act of surrender and humility,
A physical expression of being so low you can't go any lower.

One of the words use in the bible is to "prostrate" yourself.
It means to lie face-downward in submission or despair.
This is the ultimate FACETIME with God.

When is the last time you got down on your FACE before the Lord?
What was the situation?
What is in despair?
What is in thanksgiving?
What was the occasion?

How regularly do you do this?
How regularly SHOULD we do this?

Let's look at scripture...

Facetime in DESPAIR:
"[Jesus] fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.” "

Facetime in GRATITUDE:
"And he fell on his face at Jesus' feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan."

Facetime in God's PRESENCE:
"Then I [Moses] lay prostrate before the Lord as before, forty days and forty nights."

Facetime in OFFERING:
"And fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the pieces of fat on the altar, and when all the [Israelites] saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces. "

Facetime in WORSHIP:
"And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him."

"Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. "

Facetime in CONVICTION:
"The secrets of his heart are disclosed, and so, falling on his face, he will worship God and declare that God is really among you."
(Paul talking to the Corinth church about conviction of the Holy Spirit.)

Facetime in DESPARATION:
"While he was in one of the cities, there came a man full of leprosy. And when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and begged him"

Facetime in FEAR OF THE LORD:
"When the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces and were terrified."

Facetime in PROMISE-MAKING:
"Lord appeared to him and said, `I am God Almighty... I will make my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers.' Then Abram fell on his face."

Facetime in GOD'S GLORY:
"And when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of one speaking."

Facetime in CONTEMPT:
"the whole assembly said to them, 'If only we had died in Egypt!... Wouldn’t it be better for us to go back to Egypt?'... Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the people of Israel. "

What about our business?
Do we do FACETIME with God when making big decisions?
Do we do FACETIME with God when hiring someone?
Do we do FACETIME with God when spending His money?
Do we do FACETIME with God when there is a conflict?

Can we get on our FACETIME with God this week?

Can we do it once a day and see what happens?
Can you get into your room,
Turn off the lights,
And get on your face EACH day this week?

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Physical obedience brings spiritual breakthrough.

"Dear Heavenly Father,

Teach me how to humble myself before You,
Teach me how to lower myself all the more,
Teach me how to be nothing in my own eyes,
That I would seek only You in all that I do.

Teach me how to get on my face,
Teach me how to lower my pride,
Teach me that the physical obedience of man,
Will lead to spiritural breakthrough with You.

Teach me how to get on my FACE,
Teach me how to submit ALL that I have,
Teach me how to bow down and worship You,
As a daily act of worship and sacrifice.

In Jesus name, Amen."

Cheers to gettin more on your FACETIME with God.
