Getting Lost in Time with Jesus...
There's an experience of Jesus that has been tickling my brain lately.
"In these days he went out to the mountain to pray, and ALL NIGHT he continued in prayer to God."
What would it take to pray ALL NIGHT like Jesus?
At first, an all-nighter sounds like a heavy undertaking,
Something that I wouldn't volunteer to do,
But what if I'm looking at it wrong?
What if it wasn't drudgery to pray all night?
Instead it was a glorious experience where Jesus got LOST in time and looked forward to doing it again?
What type of heavenly connection did He have that I haven't?
What should I be asking for that I haven't?
What am I missing out on?
"And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed."
"And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray"
"And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed."
"And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him"
Praying all night wasn't drudgery for Jesus,
It's like He ENJOYED it,
It's like He looked FORWARD to spending His Heavenly Father,
It's as if it He got LOST in time doing it... again and again.
This is starting to sound pretty cool,
An experience I would like to have.

How do I start?
I'd be down for getting LOST in time with Jesus,
To experience a deep heavenly connection that takes me to a different flow of time.
Although I'm still a spiritual baby pooping in my diapers,
Jesus did say,
"With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
"For nothing will be impossible with God."
So I'll take Jesus up on His offer.
"Yet you have not because you ask not"
So let's start asking for it.
"Dear Heavenly Father,
I want to get LOST in time with You,
And I believe You want to get lost in TIME with Me too,
Just like You did with Jesus.
Open my spiritual eyes to see and ears to hear,
Grant me the desires of YOUR heart,
Help me get LOST in TIME with You in prayer,
Show me something new,
Lead the way and help me follow.
Take me to a place I haven't been before,
To a deeper secret place with You.
I WELCOME it,
I DESIRE it,
I THANK You for it,
In Jesus name, Amen."
