God is Simple
Many people have experienced a "complicated" version of God.
Too many people believe that...
- You have to do X, Y, Z to be loved by God. LIES.
- You have go to church every week to be a Christian. LIES.
- You have to live a certain lifestyle to talk to God. LIES.
When Jesus came and died for us, he SIMPLIFIED everything.
LOVE.
That's it.
Only 3 things God wants us to do.
1) LOVE God
2) LOVE Others
3) Share God w/LOVE + Teach others how to do the same.
God is NOT complicated.
God's love for us is SIMPLE.
So simple it's child-like.
"I LOVE you", He says.
"I want you to LOVE me."
"Then share the LOVE and teach others how to do the same."
"Whoever does not LOVE does not know God, because God is love."
Religion, denomination, what you wear, what you eat, what gender is NOT a SALVATION issue. (Meaning, these things don't affect whether you are "saved")
The ONLY thing you need to be saved is saying "YES" to Jesus.
Invite him into your heart.
That's IT!
Don't let anyone complicate it.
If you know someone who seems blocked from God because of "requirement" issues, please help them by simplifying it.
Let them know...
"God will meet you where you're at."
"Just invite Him into your heart again."
That's it.
Pray with them to cover them in LOVE.
Listen to the way God is tickling your brain to pray.
Lean into it.
Follow it.
Just do it. Take a leap of faith.
If the words you speak are full of LOVE and truth, it's God.
If not, they're not.
It's that simple.
God is NOT religion.
Church is not in 4 walls.
Church is the body of Christ.
The body of Christ is made up of people.
Yes, we're meant to gather and support each other.
We're meant to take God everywhere we go.
Church is our LIFE not a building.
If you feel you left or haven't gone to church in a while because of all the "requirements", I totally understand.
Me too.
But today, let's break free of that LIE.
God does NOT have a honey-do list for us before we can know Him better.
Invite or Re-invite God into your heart today.
"God, I invite You into my heart.
Restore me.
Revive me.
Light me on fire for Your kingdom.
Show me what true purpose and passion is with You.
Amen."
Then ask ONE person today...
"Just out of curiosity, what is your story when it comes to spirituality or faith?
What did you grow up with and where are you at now?"
Ask God to send you someone to ask this question.
"God, send me one person to ask this question.
Your will be done. Amen."
Now pay attention to who God sends your way.
Keep your radar out and eyes peeled.
Someone who needs God is coming your way!!
