Godly Entrepreneurial Spirit... (Part 1)
God gave us an entrepreneurial spirit.
There is a Godly version of it,
And there is an UN-Godly version of it.
"You will know them by their FRUITS."
What are the fruits we bear as entrepreneurs?
Let's inspect our FRUIT and not just on our intentions.

FRUIT CHECK #1:
"the FRUIT of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."
Entrepreneurs are known to be driven and hard-charging,
But does that make it right to be aggressive and over-bearing?
"as the steward of God, not selfwilled, not quick to anger".
Often times we justify being impatient,
Or even glorify it by saying "Yeah, I can never sit still. My mind is always running."
We put UN-Godly characteristics on a pedestal,
Because the world treats it like a badge of honor,
A cool club of being waaay to busy to slow down.
Because as an entrepreneur,
I used to look DOWN on people who were slow,
And thought them to be less productive.
Not until recently did I realize how much I was OUT of line with God's word when it came to being impatient and aggressive.
Godly entrepreneurs will have "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control".
The world has taught us so different.
The world taught us that impatience is a trait of success,
Being overbearing is acceptable,
Being quick-tempered is just part of the package,
Being gentle is weakness,
And to have self-control means to be in control.
We couldn't be more OPPOSITE of what God teaches says.
So how are you on this FRUIT CHECK #1 as an entrepreneur?
I'm a hot mess and a work in progress.
If you are too, then join the club,
Let's ask God for help.
"Dear Heavenly Father,
HELP!
I need You to open my spiritual eyes to see and ears to hear,
Forgive me for being an UN-Godly entrepreneur,
Help me to see where I'm not in line with Your word,
Create in me a a new heart and put Your Spirit within me,
And cause me to walk in Your ways.
Only You can renew my heart,
Change my thinking,
Mend my old habits,
And mold them into Your likeness.
I can't do this without You,
Come, Lord, come!
Help me become more like You.
In Jesus name, Amen."
