Halloween... God...

Have you ever said something you thought was funny,
But you hurt someone's feeling instead?

Have you done something you thought was helpful,
But it frustrated the person instead?

Sometimes we do things we didn't intend to,
And the most important thing is that we learn and grow.

Halloween falls into that category for me.
I always considered Halloween a fun, harmless event,
A way to get free candy every year,
But I never considered what God thought about Halloween.

What do we really know about Halloween?
Have you ever taken a close look at it's ROOTS?

Halloween is a pagan practice with dead spirits, divination and sacrifices to false gods.
It's ALL the things God detests.

"anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord"

This is not the first time pagan practices were getting mixed in with Christian practices. It happened in Bible times also and it was specifically addressed.

"the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons."

"You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's table and the table of demons."

Doesn't this sound like Christians and Halloween?

A quote from Anton LaVey, author of The Satanic Bible and founder of the Church of Satan, regarding Halloween said: "I’m glad Christians let their kids worship the devil at least one night out of the year."

There should be a bell going off in your head saying, "Wait, there something seriously wrong with this picture!"

The FACT is...
Halloween is a MAJOR holiday for Satan worshipers such as Church of Satan and The Satanic Temple.
The fact that your children are engaging in a holiday celebrated by Satan worshipers should say something.

It's tempting to think, "But... Halloween is so "cute" and the kids love it so it's gotta be ok, right?"
Satan is a MASTER at dressing up evil as good, wise or cute.

"Satan disguises himself as an angel of light"

PLEASE look into this for yourself.
Satan is NOT hiding anymore.
He is out in the open more than ever.

Protect your children.
Minimize your children's exposure to evil practices, especially the ones disguised as "cute" or "friendly.
Satan is a tricky booger.
Don't get tricked by his treat.

"Dear Heavenly Father,

Open my spiritual eyes to see and ears to hear,
Help me discern between good and evil,
Help me see through the disguises of the enemy.

Help me align my will with Yours,
Help me protect my children and my family against evil,
Help me boldly declare,
'But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord'.
