How You View God Is... How You Do Business.
How do you view God?
Do you view Him as distant?
Stoic?
Grumpy?
Judgmental?
Punisher?
Or do you view Him as polite, but not close?
Knowledgeable but reserved?
Or as a backup plan for emergencies only?
Or do you view Him as a best friend?
Encourager?
Business partner?
Wise counselor?
Best business coach in the universe?
The answers to these questions will SIGNIFICANTLY impact how you do business with God or NOT.
Because why would you want to talk to someone about your business that is grumpy or going to judge you?
Why would you get excited about talking to someone that doesn't care or is quick to punish you?
However, it would be easy to bring your business ideas and discuss them with the best business coach in the UNIVERSE!
It would be obvious to run things by your business partner.
It would be common to share things with your best friend.
Of course you would.
Your image of God most likely was shaped by other humans for better or for worse.
This can be your upbringing, people at church, other Christians, your parents or friends...
If your view of God is cold, grumpy or not interested, that is not biblical.
That goes against the word of God.
God is "Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
and "the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."
That sounds like best friend material to me... or at least favorite uncle! ^_^
God is the best possible combination of friend, mentor, coach and God.
It doesn't get better than that.
So if you feel ANY distance from God,
If you don't feel like He's your BESTIE...
Ask these questions...
1) What is the lie I am believing on what you think of me?
Tell me more?
Anything else?
What else?
2) God, what do you think of me?
Tell me more?
Anything else?
What else?
3) God, I hand you over the lies about your character and what you think of me in Jesus name and I exchange it for the truth that you adore me, cherish me and care for me deeply. I accept the truth that You want a close, intimate relationship with me.
4) God, teach me how to become more close to You. I invite You into my heart. Change me. Transform me. Give me the desire to desire you more.
In Jesus name Amen.
Don't underestimate how much God wants to be a part of your DAILY business.
Not just as a emergency back-up.
Not just as a fire extinguisher.
But as a trusted partner.
One that you run to first when anything happens.
He LOVES hearing from you.
So drop in on Him daily.
Chat and ask Him questions.
He's got you. Trust Him. ^_^
Cheers!
