Let's Be Fools...

I used to think that MOST of my ways were in line with God,
I certainly thought I could not be straying too much,
But the more I sat in God's word,
The more I realized,
Errr... oops.

Satan is tricky,
He slides one thing in under the radar,
Then another,
Makes it seem "normal",
Makes it seem "wise",
And he rinses and repeats.

What I started noticing how the "wise" things I do,
The ones I picked up from top performers in business,
The ones I got from highly successful entrepreneurs,
And saw how it contradicted God's word,
I was shocked.

There's an interesting verse that says.
"you should become 'fools' so that you may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight."

So I invite you to be FOOLISH in the sight of man so we can be WISE in God's eyes.

Here are 10 real-life examples for you to consider...

1) DAILY TIME WITH GOD
World says: "There's not enough time. Gotta get other things done first."
God says: "seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

2) ASK GOD ABOUT MARKETING
World says: "Get crafty and sneaky. It will produce results."
God says: "He catches the wise in their craftiness."

3) ASK GOD ABOUT RECRUITING
World says: "Asking God about recruiting is silly. That's not His thing."
God says: "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."

4) ASK GOD ABOUT ADDING THIS EXPENSE
World says: "You don't need to ask God about small expenses."
God says: "One who is faithful in a very LITTLE is also faithful in much"

5) ASK GOD ABOUT SMALL DETAILS
World says: "God is just for the big stuff, not the little details."
God says: "Seek his will in ALL you do, and he will show you which path to take."

6) ASK GOD ABOUT WHEN AND WHAT TO EAT
World says: "God is not concerned with what we eat."
God says: "So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."

7) ASK GOD ABOUT GOALS FOR THE DAY, WEEK, MONTH or YEAR
World says: "I'm supposed to figure out business goals, not God."
God says: "Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in ALL your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

8) ASK GOD ABOUT WHEN TO SLEEP
World says: "God is not involved in how I sleep. That's silly."
God says: "He makes me lie down in green pastures."

9) ASK GOD ABOUT HOW TO TAKE A BREAK
World says: "God isn't interested in how I take a break."
God says: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

10) ASK GOD ABOUT HOW TO TURN MY BRAIN OFF
World says: "My brain being busy has nothing to do with God."
God says: "Be still, and know that I am God"

What isn't God involved in?
Kinda looks like God wants to be all up in our business, right?
And God's ways are going to look weird and foolish to humans.

Are you ready to be a fool for God and be wise in His eyes?
Are you willing to conform to God's ways instead of mans?
Are you ready get stretchy and uncomfortable?

"Dear Heavenly Father,
Teach me to be wise in YOUR eyes,
Teach me lay down MY desires and MY ideas,
Teach me be a FOOL for You.

Break my mind free from the ways of man,
Help me see what You see as WISE,
Help me operate on KINGDOM principles,
Help me discard the ways of man that go against Your will.

Help me INTEGRATE You into ONE more thing this week,
In my business,
In my finances,
In my goals,
In my ambitions,
So I may do business with YOU,
So I may do life with YOU,
So I may be holy and pleasing to YOU,
YOUR will be done.
