Pray Always... Never Give Up

In business we often hear the phrase "never give up".
Success speakers will say "Even if it's hard, never give up".
Motivational coaches say "When the going gets tough, never give up."
However, how often do we hear, PRAY ALWAYS in the same BUSINESS circles?

"One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should ALWAYS PRAY and never give up."

"Never give up" was only second half of what Jesus taught.
The FIRST half was ALWAYS PRAY.

I wonder what would happen if we put as much emphasis on ALWAYS PRAY as we did on "never give up".

What would happen...
If every time we had a challenge, we remember to PRAY ALWAYS,
Or with a difficult client, we PRAY ALWAYS,
Or with a tough negotiation, we PRAY ALWAYS,
Or with a new opportunity, we PRAY ALWAYS.

So whenever you're making ANY sort of decision and you need wisdom,
Remember to ask God and LISTEN.
Just asking and NOT listening is like getting a voice mail with the winning lotto number but never listening to it. You're missing out.

Don't make or struggle with decisions alone.
Discuss it with God with PRAYER and LISTENING.

3 Steps to prayer and LISTENING.
Step 1) Ask God the question. "God, what do you think of _____?"
Step 2) WAIT and LISTEN. Write down anything you think, sense or feel.
Step 3) Ask a FOLLOW-UP question. "God, what do You mean? Can you make it clear?". WAIT and LISTEN and write down the first thing that comes to mind. Rinse and repeat as needed.

There's nothing too small or too big to ask God.
Just remember to LISTEN.
Like getting the winning lotto numbers from your voice mail,
It will be TOTALLY worth it!

"Dear Heavenly Father,
Teach me to PRAY as much as I never give up.
Teach me to LEAN to hearing You as much as I grind,
Teach me to WAIT and listen as much as I hustle each day.

Straighten up my priorities,
Replace my worldly wisdom with Your wisdom,
Replace human business principles with Your Kingdom principles.

Help me do business Your way, everyday,
In Jesus name, Amen."
