The Kingdom of God is an upside down kingdom,
Where the ruler is a servant,
The weak were strong,
And the strong are sent away.
"the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
"last will be first, and the first last"
"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. "
"he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty."
In God's Kingdom the wise are foolish,
The foolish are wise,
The humble are promoted,
And the self-promoters are demoted.
"God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things"
"The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted."
"Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires."
God's Kingdom makes Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory look "normal".
In this world there are profit and non-profit businesses,
But what would a God-for-Profit business look like,
One that operated purely on the upside down Kingdom principles?
What would it look like under the hood?
How different would it be in everyday business operations and decisions?
How different would it be in sales and hiring?
How different would it be in finances and projections?
How different would it be in planning and growth?
If a God-for-Profit business is as upside down as how God describes His own Kingdom, then I can ONLY imagine,
And imagine we SHALL!
But for today, let's ask God to prepare our hearts and minds,
To stimulate our holy imagination,
To reveal God's heart on what a God-for-Profit business could look like.
Let's get ready to see things upside down,
Inside out,
Sideways and backwards,
And praise God while doing it.
"Dear Heavenly Father,
Open my mind,
Open my heart,
To a business TRULY operating on Your Kingdom principles.
Open my imagination to Your truth,
Open my eyes to Your desires,
Grant me the desires of Your heart,
And make ALL Your plans succeed.
BREAK my preconceived notions of success,
MELT away my human wisdom and ambitions,
MOLD my desires with Your holy hands,
FILL me with Your Spirit and purify my dreams.
Do ALL You want in me,
Show me something NEW,
Grant me spiritual eyes to see,
And help me FOLLOW You.
