When You Need a Mega-dose of Jesus...
In walking with the Lord,
There are days,
When you just need a life-line,
You need a S.O.S. call,
You need a time-out.
The fright is heightened,
Despair is at a peak,
The discomfort is unbearable,
The darkness is closing in,
And those are the days,
We need even more Jesus,
We need a MEGA-dose of Jesus.
There was a guy that was working in his yard in some overgrown brush and a deadly poisonous snake attacked and bit him.
The guy was foolishly manly and refused to go to the hospital.
But then he eventually started to have a hard time breathing as his body swelled up reacting to the poison circulating throughout his body.
By the time he got to the emergency room, he was about to die.
The doctors saw this and knew that a normal protocol of anti-venom would not work and he was going to die.
Making a calculated risk, the doctor gave him a MEGA dose of anti-venom exceeding 10 times the normal dose.
It ended up saving his life.
There are times when we just need a MEGA-dose of Jesus.
It could be for a day, an hour, or a week or month.
Whatever the situation is,
When you are troubled or heavy laden,
The answer is JESUS.
When you're anxious and fearful,
The answer is a MEGA-dose JESUS.
When you're heart is broken in a million pieces,
The answer is a MEGA-dose JESUS.
When relationships are falling apart,
The answer is a MEGA-dose JESUS.
When business is failing,
The answer is a MEGA-dose JESUS.
When you feel torn down,
The answer is a MEGA-dose JESUS.
When you see no point in life,
The answer is a MEGA-dose JESUS.
When the snake bites of Satan's fangs are deep,
The answer is a MEGA-dose JESUS.
When can't see the light at the end of the tunnel anymore,
The answer is a MEGA-dose JESUS.
When you're gasping for hope but still feel like you're drowning,
The answer is a MEGA-dose JESUS.
How do you give yourself a MEGA-dose of Jesus?
Get a MEGA-dose of Jesus in PRAYER,
PRAY fervently,
PRAY desperately,
PRAY earnestly,
PRAY wearingly,
PRAY unknowingly,
From the depths of your soul,
From the depths of despair,
Drop to your knees in PRAYER,
Hold on to PRAYER,
In Jesus name Amen.
"Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear. "
Get a MEGA-dose of Jesus in WORSHIP,
WORSHIP whole heartedly,
WORSHIP intensely,
WORSHIP intently,
WORSHIP grossly,
WORSHIP passionately,
WORSHIP exhaustingly,
WORSHIP to the King of kings,
WORSHIP to the Lord of lords,
Hold on to WORSHIP,
In Jesus name Amen.
"Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God."
Give yourself a mega-dose of Jesus in THANKSGIVING,
Give THANKS for God's provisions,
Give THANKS for God's compassion,
Give THANKS for God's promises,
Give THANKS for God's rest,
Give THANKS for God's peace,
Give THANKS for God's patience,
Give THANKS for God's kindness,
Give THANKS for God's gentleness,
Give THANKS for God's wisdom,
Give THANKS for God's favor,
Give THANKS for God's healing,
Give THANKS for God's restoration,
Give THANKS for God's perfect timing,
Hold to THANKSGIVING,
In Jesus name Amen.
"Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise."
Do these things EVEN when you don't feel like it,
Do these things ESPECIALLY when you don't feel like it,
For that's when you need it the MOST.
Open your spiritual eyes,
To see the battle around you,
For darkest times are not a battle of the flesh,
But of spiritual warfare for your mind,
For you heart,
For your soul.
"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."
Don't let the darkness swallow you whole,
But let the LIGHT of Jesus pierce the darkness,
Let the LIGHT of Jesus warmth the cold, lonely places,
Let the LIGHT of Jesus sooth the pain,
Let the LIGHT of Jesus comfort your aching heart,
Let the LIGHT of Jesus rescue you from the bottomless pit of despair.
Know that when you LEAN IN to Jesus,
The darkness,
The despair,
This too shall pass.
What seems like forever,
Will become a passing moment,
What seems like en eternity in darkness,
Will blow by like the wind.
Don't lose hope,
Don't get lost in sorry,
Don't get stuck in unbelief,
Trust in Jesus as Lord and SAVIOR.
Jesus already saved us from all the things you bear and WILL ever bear.
"You rule the raging of the sea; when its waves rise, you still them."
What you need is a MEGA-dose of Jesus,
Through prayer, worship and thanksgiving.
How do you do this?
Simple.
3 Steps for getting a MEGA-dose of Jesus
1) Ask Holy Spirit, "What would You like to do?"
2) Listen and wait for the answer. It may be a seed of a thought, an impression or a feeling.
3) Do it. Obey. With CHILDLIKE faith and curiosity. Ask Holy Spirit, "How do I do this? Teach me." Do what comes to mind. Trust in the Lord. God's got you!
"Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. "
There are experiences we are YET to experience,
God is waiting for us to seek them out,
They are infinite,
For when we think we've had the BEST experience yet,
God has 100 more lined up,
And behind that 1000 more,
Our God is infinitely AWESOME.
So SEEK Him with your WHOLE heart,
SEEK Him with HUNGER that hurts,
With a PASSION that burns,
With a LONGING that aches,
Oh Lord, it HURT SOOO GOOOOOOODD!!!
"Dear Heavenly Father,
Give me HUNGER,
Give me THIRST,
Give me FIRE,
Give me REVIVAL,
Give me YOU,
HOLY SPIRIT, You!
Show me what you meant by,
`HE WILL DO EVEN GREATER THINGS THAN THESE`,
For I have not YET seen these things in it's full glory,
For I not YET scratched the surface,
For I not YET put everything on the altar,
For You to BURN,
For You to PURIFY,
For You to RESURRECT.
How do I get MORE of You?
How can I get a MEGA-dose of You?
Show me the way,
Help me follow,
I just want MORE,
So much MORE.
Give me all YOUR desires in my heart,
And make all YOUR plans succeed.
I'll pay the price,
Whatever it is,
For your PRESENCE,
For your GLORY,
The ONE that Moses refused to part with,
The ONE that Moses would trade the Promise Land for,
Give me THAT,
That I do not YET know,
That I do SEEK,
Whatever it is,
If it's YOU,
I say YES,
I say WHEN,
I say MORE.
Change my heart O God,
To be more like YOU,
All YOU,
Not me,
In Jesus mighty name, Amen."
