You are Mine...
In this new year,
I pray that we come humbly before God,
And truly realize,
How great it is to speak and know the truth,
Which is contrary to what the world tells us.
And still at the end of the day,
Jesus says,
"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you... you are MINE."
Satan likes to take God's truth,
And extract Jesus out of it.
While Jesus says "I have redeemed you"
Satan will have us believe,
That we're a "self-made man".
While Jesus says , "you are MINE",
Satan will have us believe,
We are free and strong,
And belong to no one.
The world tells us we are worthy,
But we are NOT,
We are worthy ONLY through Jesus.
The world tells us that we are enough,
But we are NOT,
We are enough ONLY through Jesus.
There's nothing worse,
Than being tricked to believe we're enough on our own,
Then to struggle on our own,
To put up a front of being successful and strong on our own,
When clearly we're struggling, burning out and tired.
Don't get trapped inside the fog of Satan's lie,
That we are enough on our own,
Because we're NOT.
The truth is we need Jesus and we are His.
Jesus knows how much you need Him,
Satan knows how much you need Him,
Do we know how much we need Him?
So in this new year,
Close your eyes,
Incline your ear to Jesus,
And hear Him say,
"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you... you are MINE."
"Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for saying 'you are MINE',
Treating me like your only, favorite child,
I love You because You first loved me,
I want to be YOURS forever more.
I don't want to block Your love from my life,
I don't want to be ignorant of Your desires,
I don't want to turn my back on You,
I want to be YOURS.
Grant me UNDERSTANDING to FOLLOW You,
Grant me DESIRE to CHOOSE You,
Grant me WISDOM to KNOW You more.
Make 2025 my turn-around year to chase and seek You,
More than ever before.
Raise my ceiling on how much I love You,
How much I FOLLOW You,
How much I SEEK You each day.
Change my heart Lord,
Change it real good this year,
Change it so much it shocks me and pleases You.
In Jesus name, Amen."
